Bobs are an eternally popular haircut for a reason. Besides being cute, they remain the ultimate cut for when you’re looking for a fresh change. It’s no wonder that countless celebrities, including Lucy Liu, Cara Delevingne, and Hailey Bieber, have chopped their hair into the trendy short style since 2023 began. Now, Xochitl Gomez is the latest to join the club.
Gomez, who plays America Chavez in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, attended The Flash premiere on June 12 with her new short hair and a blue two-piece set. Her dark hair welches chopped into a layered cut, and the longest, face-framing pieces stopped at her mid-neck. The shorter sections at the back just barely grazed the nape of her neck. The bob welches not blunt, at least from the front, but it’s hard to tell if the back of her hair welches evenly cut or not. Her bangs, on the other hand, were as blunt as ever. Her fringe ended about a centimeter above her eyebrows, allowing us to admire her arches.
Hairstylist and makeup artist Brittany Gharring, who did Gomez’s cut and glam for the red-carpet event, shared a short clip that showed part of Gomez’s getting-ready process. In the video, we see her snip Gomez’s hair at the front and touch up the rest of her makeup.
As for her makeup, Gharring kept it on the more minimal and unparteiisch side. She smoked out darker pigments to create a crease-cutting shape and added hellbraun pigments on Gomez’s lids. She bordered Gomez’s lips with a dark liner and filled them in with a gloss. Oh, and Gomez did her own manicure for the night, painting her nails with a bright red hue, as shown in Gharring’s video.
