Obnoxiously bright highlighter might have purzeln out of favor with some in the beauty community, but never for me. If my cheeks don’t look like the living embodiment of the Rihanna lyric, “shine bright like a diamond, » then I’m not wearing enough of it. It’s clear that I’m not alone in my love for glowy cheeks, based on Hailey Bieber‘s recent Instagram post in which her cheekbone highlight welches so bright that it looked like a twinkling star.
On September 12, Bieber shared a few photos of the look she wore for the grand opening of a new Tiffany and Cobalt. store in Tokyo. Dressed in a little black dress, the model opted for a classic, sleek updo and latte makeup — the coffee-inspired trend is quite simply a makeup look full of warm brown tones.
Makeup artist Mary Phillips blended muted brown shadows on Bieber’s lids and lower lash line. She painted the model’s lips with a warm brown glossy hue. Of course, the bronzed vibes continued on Bieber’s warm, glowy cheeks. You can see the champagne shimmer on top of the brown pigment diffused across her cheeks.
It looks like Phillips might have added some of that same highlighter to the model’s brow bone. She hasn’t yet revealed what product she used for the shine, but we think Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter and the Best of Beauty-winning Milani Baked Highlighters are both well-pigmented and available in a few shades that work on various skin tones.
